Signs of Equipment Curing and On-site Emergency Repair Guide

Equipment curing refers to the mixed curing of A and B coatings in the equipment, usually caused by the construction personnel reversing the positions of A and B materials. In addition to early prevention and operating equipment according to specifications, on-site construction personnel must be sensitive to abnormal phenomena during the construction process.

Early curing of the device


During the construction process, the following characteristics are found, which can be judged as the equipment has begun to cure:




1. The engine suddenly struggles significantly, with a heavy and continuous sound, and the higher the speed, the louder the sound.
2. The spray amplitude is unstable and the line type changes.
3. The hose heats up significantly.
4. The sprayed paint is obviously thickened.

At this point, you will need:

  1. Immediately confirm the position of the A and B component coatings on the equipment.

  2. Immediately reduce engine speed and reduce pressure.

  3. Open the return valve.

  4. Continue to keep the equipment running until the cleaning agent flows out of the return pipe.

  5. If there is no cleaning agent flowing out of the return pipe, close the return valve and quickly separate the 1/4 short pipe from the spray gun. At the same time, increase the pressure until the cleaning agent is sprayed out of the short tube of the 1/4 gun.

  6. If the 1/4 short pipe does not spray out the cleaning agent, quickly separate the 3/8 high-pressure pipe from it. At the same time, increase the pressure until 3/8 of the high-pressure pipe sprays out the cleaning solution.

  7. Quickly disassemble the gun and clean the needle with cleaning agent.

※ On-site personnel should accurately judge early curing and repair quickly.


Mid-stage curing of the equipment

Failure to detect anomalies and stop repairs at the early curing stage can lead to further curing of the equipment. When the spray gun cannot continue to spray paint, it can be judged that the equipment is medium-term curing.

At this point, you will need:
  1. Immediately reduce engine speed and reduce pressure.

  2. Open the return valve.

  3. Continue to keep the equipment running until the cleaning agent flows out of the return pipe.

  4. If there is no cleaning agent flowing out of the return pipe, close the return valve and quickly separate the 1/4 short pipe from the spray gun. At the same time, increase the pressure until the cleaning agent is sprayed out of the short tube of the 1/4 gun.

  5. If the 1/4 short pipe does not spray out the cleaning agent, quickly separate the 3/8 high-pressure pipe from it. At the same time, increase the pressure until 3/8 of the high-pressure pipe sprays out the cleaning solution.

  6. If the high-pressure pipe is difficult to drain the paint, quickly remove the plunger pump and filter.

  7. Disassemble the piston pump parts, soak them with cleaning agent and clean the parts.


※ Use the disassembly method to repair gradually, and the speed should be fast, so that the parts can basically be cleaned out and the loss can be reduced.

Late curing of the device
Late curing means that the cured paint has completely filled the pump body and lines, and the equipment cannot complete the fluid circulation.

At this point, you will need:
  1. Turn off the engine.

  2. Carefully remove the plunger pump lower block and filtration system.

  3. Soak with cleaning agent and wash the removed components.

  4. If it is not possible, heat it to soften the paint block before trying. The heating time can be up to several hours, so do not smash the component too hard.

  5. If you need assistance, please take your device to your nearest Sanwin Equipment Repair Center for repair.

※ Equipment curing will not only cause high economic losses, but also delay the construction period. We recommend that in addition to the driver, an assistant should be appointed to observe the operation of the equipment, the marking line and the settlement of glass beads.
